Spooky Night

Raggedy Ann and Andy were our hosts Halloween night at the Backyard restaurant in Forestville. The Thugz played for a crowd that ranged from Angels to Zombies, all music lovers, "foodies," and creative spirits. We did a lot of Dead tunes for everyone, but tossed in a few originals in order to pave the way for our new CD release coming soon. Raggedy Ann and Andy wanted some spooky sounds too - so, of course, we did the "Monster Mash" - featuring Chris and his legendary, "...what ever happened to his Transylvania twist..." line. I tried "Werewolves of London," so we covered a few Halloween hits. The Backyard folks organized a great costume contest and had all kinds of special effects going on to enhance the mood. They had a fog machine set up - but it wasn't really needed since the mist was rolling in from the ocean - signaling a weather change with a promise of rain. The Thugz had a blast, and the crowd did too. Since we ended relatively early, who knows where all the costumed revelers headed after dinner? The spirit of Halloween was alive and well Saturday night! Now off we go into November and dark afternoons. Take care everyone. Love, Sylvia
