Timber Cove Surprises

Saturday night at Timber Cove Inn was full of surprises. Mike, Chris, and I were playing as a trio, and the moment we arrived, we got our first surprise. There was our faithful fan, Gary, sitting at the bar, ready to party. Not long after that, Richard arrived - quite a surprise. We set about doing our thing, keeping it nice and quiet for the diners and guests. They politely clapped, and we carried on. After folks came into the lounge from the dining area, it was obvious people were ready to cut loose a bit. We played well and put out a solid sound. After the "last song," all of a sudden there was a burst of applause and demands for an encore. But the biggest surprise came after we ended and people came up to express their gratitude. Dead Heads are everywhere - all ages - surprisingly diverse. The group I loved was a multi-generational family bunch (from a 5 year old to grandparents) who had booked their week-end getaway at Timber Cove just because they knew we were playing! Good grief! Apparently they follow us wherever they can. I was blown away by their story. But, when you think about it, Gary "follows" us too - as does Richard and many others. We are so blessed to have our tribe - even if they're anonymous and stealthy! We hope to see our friends again this week - at Twin Oaks Tavern - and/or at the Roadhouse for the spirited Holiday special. Thug Life is amazing! Take care. Love, Sylvia
