All Together Now

We actually were all together at the Rio Nido Roadhouse on Saturday night - "all" meaning the big 5 (Mike, Chris, Andre, Bradley and Sylvia) - as well as the dynamic duo (Drew and Maris) - and our former manager (Craig) - and the most devoted of our tribe (names not included because I'll surely leave out someone we love dearly). It was an acoustic set-up, and it was very successful in the back patio venue with cement floors and plastic curtain walls. Too much amplified music in the space we affectionately call the "I.C.U." can be overwhelming. I think the Thugz put on a great acoustic show, and Saturday night was no exception. The minimal P.A., small amps and reduced drum kit made it work. The folks were ready for Grateful Dead tunes, and we got several specific requests - what FUN we had. It seemed very important to do a good job and help folks have a great time now that folks are dealing with so many challenges. Mike pulled out some Dead tunes we hadn't done for a while (like "Morning Dew" and "Mission In the Rain"). The music came together almost magically. Thank you to all of you who came out and inspired us to carry on. We are really looking forward to the Rio Nido Roadhouse Holiday Show!! Take care. Love, Sylvia
