Home Again

It took a while to organize our return to Thugz Thursdays at the River Theater, but we did it. Last night was our first time back, and it was fantastic to see so many fans turn up. Our schedule will be a bit staggered for a while longer, but we hope to have a regular "scene" soon - something the community can depend on. As always, the best bet is to do a quick click on "calendar" and find out what's up. We did our 4-piece extravaganza last night, then Stephanie joined us for a grand finale. We didn't have Andre, since his KRSH responsibilities keep him in Santa Rosa on Thursdays most of the time. We also had Bradley on drums since Ian has moved on to his new musical pursuits as a jazz guitarist. At the end of the night I asked Bradley if he had fun doing the Thugz thing. He gave me a huge positive grin and a big "yes," so I guess he's happy on the drum throne. He's sharing his time with Koobifora, the Jug Dealers and us, but he's a go-getter, loves to play - and that's what counts for the Thugz. Last night Jerry let us know (loud and clear!) that he was happy we were back, and we let him know how vital his support is for the live music scene in the area. Guerneville is cookin' - "...don't tell me this town ain't got no heart...you just gotta poke around..." After all that, I hope it's clear that we won't be back next Thursday since we'll be at the theater on Saturday night, the 26th, with the JHSBJ band. It will be a fantastic event - guaranteed! Then the JGB band will do their Halloween show on the 31st - all those letters stand for things - we fit right in with THUGZ = tribal hippie under ground zone. Thank you to everyone who came out last night and to everyone out there who loves live music. Every single time we play I'm so grateful for it all. I wish you many blessings and gifts of wisdom as the full moon blasts away this weekend and the lunar eclipse jump starts us down the road into the winter season. Take care. Love, Sylvia
