Life Procedes By Its Own Design - Off We Go

We said (or rather "sang") our farewell to summer yesterday at the Hollydale Club. The weather was balmy, the fans were fabulous, dogs were romping, the place was welcoming - it was a great day. All the Thugz were amazed it came together on such short notice after we found out we could have the club on that day. So much was happening all over the area - so much music, so many choices. But we lucked out and had a chance to play for our wonderful friends. It was a tribute to Thugz fans who manage to check out the website and click on "Calendar!" Mike is very good about keeping it updated and correct. If you're curious about our regular Thursday shows, just go to "Calendar." Mike explains our time off and our intentions to return to the theater in October. We need the time now for creative pursuits and recording new tunes. This should be a good week for all that since the full moon shines down on Thursday and lights the way for Sunday's Equinox. By the way, we will return to the Hollydale Club for a daytime Oyster Fest on September 28th - oysters, brews and acoustic Thugz, oh my. Then we pack up and head over to Aubergine's on Sunday, the 29th. You really should check out the famous calendar for that one just to see the poster - so clever, and purple too!  So the Thugz are doing their thing and moving around a bit. We're making new friends and hoping to make new music too. But the song says, "Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold," - so true - we hope to bring our river family all together again soon - to play, sing and dance our way right through the fall so we can light up the winter darkness. Off we go. Take care. Love, Sylvia
