New Moon, New Challenges

Mike wrote a great song a while ago, "Where Do We Go From Here?" That's the question. We haven't played the song a lot recently, but you might start hearing it more since the title line describes the current Thugz schedule.  We couldn't be at the River Theater this past week, and several people showed up wondering about our whereabouts. We hate to let fans down - that's why we have to rely on our website and Facebook for getting information out. I am in charge of "tweeting" - but I'm not sure that gets the word out to all of us who have no investment in the wireless universe. I'll get with it, I'm sure, but meanwhile, our weekly Thursday gig hasn't been terribly dependable - so sorry. However, we did do our Jasper O'Farrell gig last night and had a great time. Some old friends came by, and we even had some special guest performers, Thugz Associates: Stephanie, James and Eric. Since James wanted to drum a bit, Ian offered to sing and play guitar. Andre kindly turned over his guitar for a few songs, and Ian got to "front" the band. He's usually so quiet back there in drummer land, but he sparkled up front. When it comes to next week's schedule, I do know one thing for certain - we'll be at the Hollydale Club in Forestville Saturday afternoon/evening. Of course, just being there will bring back memories of one of the happiest moments of my life - the famous surprise birthday bash! We hope to play outside with luxuriously warm, balmy weather. It will be a family event, and, like the amphitheater, folks need to bring their own picnic items and drinks. We hope it will be a fabulous family-style gathering of fans, music lovers, and positive spirits of all persuasions. It seems like the Thugz will be moving around a bit in the future - we just hope all you wonderful supporters will want to track down our "moveable feast." I'll try to keep blog readers posted with the latest scoop - but a simple click on "calendar" should do the trick too. Take care. Love, Sylvia
